Hey All,
I'm puttng out my yearly call for folks interested in joining the sinister legions of Dr. Sketchy's helper monkeys. Dr. Sketchy's is the largest chain of alternative life-drawing sessions in the world- a fifty city labour of love that brings together artists, burlesque dancers, booze and prizes. As befitting an endevor of this size, Dr. Sketchy's is looking for folks from a variety of backgrounds to help out
You:
Enthusiastic
Have 2-4 hours a week to spare
Able to give realistic assesments of what you can do
Computer savvy
Can live anywhere
Pleasant, articulate and fun to work with
Areas we'd like help in:
Graphic/web design
Grant-writing and grant research
Event help (NYC only- no skills needed- just a pleasant disposition)
Research
Maintaining and researching social networking sites
Documentary film-making (NYC only)
Building things
Researching and contacting sponsors
Researching organizations to work with
Web programming
What we can give you:
Free admission to Dr. Sketchys anywhere in the world
Free Dr. Sketchy's merch
We might be able to toss you paying work, depending on what you do
Referrals to folks with paying work
Press and promotion help with your projects
Letters of recommendation
If you're a student, we can work with you to try to get college credit
